Climate in North Cyprus

North Cyprus enjoys a well balanced touch of all four seasons giving warm summers and cool breezy winters. It has a complete Mediterranean climate offering long, warm and dry summers from mid-May to mid-October and mild and wet winters from December to February.

Temperatures

Summer season is adorned by the cloudless clear blue sky and the sunny temperatures but the sea breeze makes a pleasant atmosphere in coastal areas. Readings range from 34°C to 40°C between July and August Which are the hottest months of the year and the coldest months is between 7 and 15 degrees. But the temperatures drop as the altitude increases up on the slopes. The weather in North Cyprus provides the visitors a truly pleasant holiday all year round. Rainfall is concentrated in December and January, and the average sea temperature is above 20 ºC for more than half the year.The average rainfall of 402 mm is below Mediterranean average. Due to the altitude, the highest rainfall is bound to the Kyrenia Mountain range, where it ranges between 750 and 1110 mm.
